Essential Oil Diffuser Blends That Embody The Spirit Of Fall

Doterra Essential Oils for Fall

When I think of fall, I think of warm colors, a cool breeze, a crispness in the air and sounds of rustling leaves. I hear the crunchiness of the leaves that have fallen when I walk on the grass and feel my senses invigorated when I breathe in the cooler air.

But sometimes Mother Nature decides to skip fall on this side of Florida. And that’s okay because I have the next best thing my essential oils.

I bring the fall home with a selection of essential oils that remind me of autumn. The ones that stand out the most are cinnamon, clove and ginger. They fall under the spice category of  essential oils and are commonly used in cooking. You probably have them in your spice cabinet and have used them during this time of year to season homemade Thanksgiving dishes.

I’ve created three essential oil diffuser blends that embody the energy and spirit of fall. I blend them in a dram vial then add a few drops to my diffuser. This gives me multiple uses for each one, but you can follow the recipes below and place them directly in your diffuser.

Fall Diffuser Blends For Your Home

Fall Harvest Blend

  • 4 drops Orange
  • 3 drops Cinnamon
  • 1 drop Patchouli

This blend is warm and sweet and feels like home sweet home. This combination of oils supports a healthy metabolism through the cinnamon essential oil, the wild orange uplifts and the patchouli grounds and balances our emotions. Diffuse this blend to feel cozy and comforted at home. It is also nice to diffuse when you are relaxing by the fireplace.

Crisp Autumn Morning Blend

  • 3 drops Douglas Fir
  • 3 drops Clove
  • 1 drop Coriander
  • 1 drop Cassia

The douglas fir and coriander add the refreshing aroma to the air while the clove and cassia give it warmth. The health benefits of the oils used in this blend include immune boosting, digestive balance and opening up the airways. Diffuse it in the morning to increase your receptivity and emotional strength for the day.

Fall Woods Blend

  • 3 drops Cinnamon
  • 2 drops Cedarwood
  • 1 drop Arborvitae
  • 1 drop Ginger

This  woodsy and warm blend is stimulating and invigorating. The arborvitae is know as the Tree of Life and it stimulates the nervous system and enhances meditation. Combined with the properties of cedarwood, cinnamon and ginger, this blend emotionally fosters feelings of connection and protection. Diffuse it first thing in the morning to awaken your senses and bring the forest to you.

I used these blends in my diffuser. If you are sensitive to essential oil spices, use half the amount of drops in your diffuser. Essential oils inspire spiritual and emotional growth. These blends make me feel supported and loved. I would love to hear what essential oil combinations you are using to invoke the spirit of fall.
